About

It began because our own software wouldn't give us our own data.

Ergivo was not designed as a product. It is what had to exist after running a real landscaping company on software that could not be automated.

The origin

No public API. No refreshable token. Reading our own estimates meant a person opening a browser, copying a session token by hand, and racing an eighteen hour clock before it expired.

That is a constraint we documented rather than a complaint we made. Every connection we built had to be designed around it. When the software holding your pricing and your whole customer history won't hand any of it back without a human in the loop, you don't have an operating system. You have a filing cabinet with a login.

The name

Ergivo is coined from ergon, the Greek word for work, and the active suffix ivo. It also carries ergo: therefore.

The work, and what follows from it. Crews show up, do the job, take pictures and go home, and every number downstream is derived from that. It is why the name is the name.

Built by operators

Ergivo was built inside a working landscaping company by the person running it, with real crews and real invoices on the line. Every feature exists because a specific day went wrong and something had to change by the following morning.

Twenty minutes, on your real numbers.
